about
"Inspired" by the magic of my 7th grade class. :)
lyrics
Why Mr. Bausch got to tell me what to do?
I can't believe the pain and the hassles that he puts me through
He always looks mean and raises his eyebrow
just 'cause it took me two days to write the Do Now
Can't find my notes, can't keep my pen still
Don't know how to shut up and my grades are rolling downhill
He's clapping eighth notes, I'm clapping whole notes
half-awake as I fake Stick Control notes
Oh, why do I cry for his attention?
Seems my day is not long enough without a detention!
Sitting here waiting for these kids to be quiet
you see me staring at you so put it down, don't even try it
You think you're slick now? You try to test me?
You best divest that messed-up tone when you address me
Can't find your notes, can't stop tapping your pen? I've
given two warnings so I guess it's down that road again
I'm clapping 8th notes, she's clapping whole notes
Is it true he cannot do the Stick Control notes?
Oh, why do they cry for my attention?
Seems their day is not long enough without a detention
Hector and Angel and Chris, they're great
Jural can be too, though she used to come late
Kelvin likes the Seals, Moriba likes the drums
Gideon can improvise (but he's chewing gum!)
Serjey and Tyriq can be mocking or be cool
Jordan can be sharp, but he likes to act a fool
Taeon's got a brain, but his mouth gets in the way
Isaiah would be awesome if he were here every day
Sorimar is always there, unless she has speech
Raymond's mad quiet-til I get up to teach
Dorothy can really play unless you make her mad
How can good kids make a class feel bad?
Don't they understand, do they lack comprehension?
Is a suspension the only means of prevention?
Or are they aware? Yes, that is my contention!
That leaves one conclusion to my crazy invention:
Seems their day is not long enough without a detention!
